The Marlic Steering System consists of two primary hydraulic steering components: the Marlic 3520 All-in-One Steering Cylinder and the Marlic SRP32 Orbitrol Steering Unit. This system offers a unique solution for upgrading the steering on a Mercruiser Stern Drive or any other inboard engine speed boat, providing Full Hydraulic Steering at the helm alongside simple plug-and-play installation for electronic steering via autopilot and/or joystick control.
Upgrading to Full Hydraulic Steering at the helm is achieved by connecting the Marlic 3520 Steering Cylinder to the Marlic SRP32 Orbitrol Steering Unit. Full hydraulic steering ensures continuous hydraulic power throughout the steering process, delivering precise control, immediate responsiveness, and effortless steering at the helm.
The Marlic 3520 cylinder enables easy plug-and-play installation for electronic steering via autopilot, facilitated by an integrated solenoid directional valve and an optional rudder sensor.
For optimized electronic steering, the cylinder also features adjustable piston speed for electronic control, without affecting the steering speed at the helm. This function is essential for optimal autopilot and joystick steering capabilities. Additionally, the flow regulator is pressure-compensated, ensuring consistent and optimal hydraulic flow to the cylinder and smooth electronic steering.
The Marlic Steering System includes important safety features, such as an integrated bypass valve that enables manual rudder control in emergency situations. Manual hydraulic steering at the helm is also possible in the event of servo pump failure.
In summary, the Marlic Steering System is an innovative solution, uniquely suited to upgrading steering for Mercruiser Stern Drives and offering seamless plug-and-play installation for electronic steering through autopilot and/or joystick control.
